The focus of the advanced Research Skills Workshops is on data handling and processing.  At these Workshops, participants choose a research topic, design a questionnaire; collect data overnight; enter, clean and analyze the data; and present the results to fellow participants using PowerPoint.

Participants therefore obtain first hand experience handling data using statistical software.  It is expected that persons who participate in the Advanced Workshops would have attended the Basic Workshop, as it builds on the foundation laid by the latter.  However, individuals who have had some training in research methods are welcome and indeed such persons have found the advanced workshops very useful.
